One of Finland's finer television entertainment options has been Madventures. Their gonzo travel show is about to go international now that it has been picked up by Travel Channel.

Madventures is a travel show featuring Riku Rantala and Tuomas "Tunna" Milonoff. The show focuses on backpacker travel to destinations that are a bit off the beaten path. The first two seasons of the show were filmed in Finnish, but season three was filmed in English in order to be more accessible to an international audience. The show is simple - Riku, Tunna, a camera. They don't travel with a production crew but the end result of their teamwork is a fairly well-polished final product.

According to the Madventures page of the Travel Channel website the show will premiere in the U.S. on September 21st.
A sneak preview will be broadcast on July 13th.
