saucisson sec and basque chorizo

Yet another sausage-based entry.

While in France a while back I was able to attend the Salon International de L'Agriculture (International Agriculture Show) held in Paris. In addition to livestock, every type of agricultural product was available for tasting and purchase. In my opinion, the best product of the French countryside is Saucisson Sec, a fermented, cured, and air-dried sausage. I must have tasted over 50 different types of dry sausage throughout the day. I made a few purchases to bring back to Finland, including black pepper and saucisson sec, saucisson sec made with pork and duck, as well as a chorizo from the Basque region of France.
